Verona

It 'a city with ancient origins and a Roman colony since the first century a.C.
Was dominated by a few ladies, among which that of "Scaliger, until in 1405 he surrendered voluntarily to the Venetian Republic, which retains the domain until 1796.
Followed each other the occupation by Napoleon's troops until 1814 (with a period from 1801 to 1805 which was divided in two: the right bank of the river Adige French, while the  left bank of the river Austrian). Later it was finally annexed to the Habsburg Empire and in 1866 became part of the Kingdom of Italy.

The arena is the symbol of the city and is located in the beautiful Piazza Bra, where are represented each year, operas, ballets and concerts. The square is surrounded by imposing buildings including the Palazzo della Gran Guardia and the neoclassical Palazzo Barbieri (home to the City Council), on the other hand there is the famous Liston (Verona Walk for Excellence).
At the end of Liston begin Via Mazzini (The most elegant street of Verona) and at the end emerges via Cappello, where at the nr.23, there is the House and the famous balcony of Juliet. Nearby there is Piazza delle Erbe (old Roman forum) surrounded by Lamberti Tower, houses with frescoes from the baroque Palazzo Maffei and Torre Del Gardarello.
Adjacent there is Piazza dei Signori (with the statue of Dante in the middle) surrounded by ancient buildings, including the Captain's Palace, Government Palace (now headquarters of the Province).

After passing the Palazzo del Capitano, there are the Scaliger Tombs (tombs of the lords of Verona, placed on the church of Santa Maria Antica) and continuing we arrived in via Sottoriva and near, we can found  the  Gothic church of "St. Anastasia "and inside you can admire a famous fresco by Pisanello St George and the Princess."

Just after is the Roman Theatre and Stone Bridge (place where every summer, theater performances take place). Within walking distance of the cathedral built in the eighth-ninth century DC and inside a precious paint by Titian (the Assumption).
Returning to the Piazza delle Erbe continue until Porta Borsari (dating to the first century DC), so Corso Cavour, until the Gavi Arch and the impressive Castelvecchio, an important Scala residence and now houses a city museum.

Terminating the visit the magnificent Basilica of San Zeno, built between the eighth-ninth century, the facade has a large rosette in the center tuff (called Wheel of Fortune), and portal decorated with precious bronze panels. Well within the crypt, you can enjoy a Renaissance, the paint by Andrea Mantegna “the Madonna and Child with Saints”
